Our History

KALRO Farm Naivasha was established as a strategic research and demonstration site to address the agricultural challenges facing Kenyan farmers. Over the years, it has grown into a trusted hub where scientists, extension officers, and farmers collaborate to test new technologies, validate best practices, and share knowledge across the country.

The farm sits on the fertile lands near Lake Naivasha, giving researchers access to diverse agro-ecological conditions ideal for crop and livestock trials, irrigation studies, and climate adaptation research.
